TIMELESS EXPERIENCE - On the trail of Lusitano horses

Come and get to know a breed of horses with a history that goes back more than 5000 years. Visit a stud farm for thoroughbred Lusitanos. The Lusitano is a rare horse, a thoroughbred and a fighter, it is versatile, gentle, agile and brave. The Casa Cadaval Stud Farm has existed since 1650 and breeds Lusitano thoroughbreds. The visit will include the stables and you will see the mares and the colts running free. At the same time you'll learn of the history of this incredible breed. There will even be time for a baptism horse ride in the training ring on a Lusitano thoroughbred!

THIS EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

11.00 Pick up at hotel
11.45 Trip to Casa Cadaval – Brief historical introduction on the property
12.00 Visit around the property, to the lake, vineyards, crops, farm animals, mares and colts running free.
13.20 Lunch at Casa Cadaval (4 menus to choose from)*
14.45 Visit to the wine shop, open training ring, stables.
15.20 Horse riding baptism - in covered training ring on a thoroughbred Lusitano.
17.00 Return to Lisbon

Menu 1 - Cream of leek soup, Portuguese style steaks, chips, croutons and fried egg on top, traditional Portuguese cream cakes.

Menu 2 - Vegetable soup, roast loin of pork with Arab rice, mango mousse.
               Water, orange juice, Casa Cadaval wines and coffee.

Menu 3 - Traditional Portuguese broth, mixed boiled meats, lemon pie.
                Water, orange juice, Casa Cadaval wines and coffee.

Menu 4 - Fish soup, duck rice and cream dessert.

Reservations:  Minimum 4 hours in advance and within opening times of call center (from 09.00 to 20.00 – Monday to Friday).
                   Always subject to availability. .

Cancellations: Experiences booked for times between 09.00 and 14.00 may be cancelled up to 13.00 the previous day.
                        Experiences booked for times between 14.00 and 20.00 may be cancelled up to 18.00 the previous day.
