The Tivoli Coimbra hotel received certification in quality, environment and health and safety according to the Standards NP EN ISO 9001:2000; NP EN ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001.

The main and biggest changes implemented by hotel management have been in providing the necessary conditions for the collection and selective storage of refuse and all waste inherent to the daily running of a hotel.

In terms of health and safety, equipment to prevent and fight fires has been reviewed and fire drills carried out, installation of low energy consumption equipment along with other important measures. The introduction of good practice guides for various sections allows these processes to be carried out smoothly. 

All processes have included thorough training and information for all employees to improve the quality of the services provided and guarantee compliance with all environmental and health and safety regulations.
