Tivoli Avenida Liberdade, the Grand Dame of Lisbon hotels for 85 years, is pleased to announce its new rooftop concept, SEEN Lisboa. Developed by French-Portuguese chef-entrepreneur Olivier da Costa, this new hotspot on the hotel’s ninth floor sets a new standard for amazing evenings in Lisbon with a 360-degree bar serving craft cocktails, art deco elements, live DJs and unparalleled skyline views.
Opened on 07th November 2018, SEEN Lisboa is preceded by the first highly successful SEEN on the 23rd floor of Tivoli Mofarrej São Paulo in Brazil. Chef Olivier with his team, including award-winning Chef William Ribeiro and Head Bartender Heitor Marin, reconceptualised the project to reflect new surroundings in Lisbon with the same passion for creative gastronomy, avant-garde style and sophisticated ambience.
Panoramic views over Lisbon are complemented with 1930s art deco aesthetics designed by Brazilian architect Sidney Quintela of SQ Architects. Classical materials, such as wood, brass, velvet and unique fabric patterns, reinvent fresh modern style.
The 360-degree bar at the restaurant entrance is the centrepiece, with major design elements also including a huge velvet sofa and marble tables. Guests can relax with the city at their feet, and a full cocktail list of classics and new inventions at their fingertips.
Inspired by Portuguese and Brazilian cuisine with a contemporary twist, the SEEN Lisboa menu showcases authentic, fresh and high-quality ingredients. Wagyu beef, locally sourced fish and seafood, and traditional ingredients from Brazilian cuisine are featured on Chef William Ribeiro’s changing seasonal interpretations.
Celebrating Japanese cuisine, which has a far-dating historical influence in Portugal, SEEN Lisboa also has a Sushi Bar where the menu from Chef Thalles Boniatti dos Santos will include surprising creations and a variety of sakes. The restaurant also features an Oyster Bar, with the freshest oysters from the Portuguese coast, and organic and vegetarian options, to offer options for all diets.
To set a vibrant and sophisticated mood, a resident DJ will play house, groove and other electronic beats from Monday to Saturday.

The new SEEN Lisboa will have the presence and expertise of the prestigious SEEN São Paulo team. Chef William Ribeiro, winner of the New Talent to Watch Award from the leading Brazilian weekly magazine Veja, and Heitor Marin, Head Bartender and one of the most renowned mixologists in São Paulo nightlife, have lead the staff in this new venture.

Olivier da Costa is one of Portugal’s most famous chefs, setting a benchmark for forward-thinking fine dining revering the local cuisine. With over 20 years of culinary experience, he is at the helm of six restaurants in Lisbon and also SEEN São Paulo, one of São Paulo’s top restaurants for its stunning views and Olivier’s iconic recipes developed with traditional Brazilian produce.
