Lisbon, July 12th, 2023 – Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort welcomes the hottest season of the year with a handful of gastronomic suggestions, to be tried in several different spaces and open to the general public and not just for guests.


From elegant Portuguese cuisine at The One Restaurant to traditional and fusion Sushi at the iconic SKY Bar Carvoeiro, Tivoli Carvoeiro invites you to embark on a journey to discover unique and distinctive flavors in its restaurants and bars, all accompanied by an endless view over the ocean Atlantic.


With the promise of a multi-sensory experience, in the perfect combination of the freshest fish from the coast with irresistible Asian dishes, SKY Bar Carvoeiro, located on the rooftop of the Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort, presents a menu designed by sushi chef Arisio Junior and offers numerous traditional dishes of sushi and other popular oriental dishes. From classic Nigiris, Makis, Uramakis and Hossomakis, to sashimi or even fusion proposals, such as Hot Rolls, the menu also features different combinations of sushi and sashimi, and even some hot dishes, such as the unmissable Gyosas. A list of carefully selected wines also provides perfect pairing, highlighting the distinct character of the gastronomic proposals.

Since the summer of 2022, Sky Bar Carvoeiro has been divided between the sushi restaurant area, for which advance reservations are possible, and the traditional bar area with tapas and cocktails to enjoy the late sunset or a summer afternoon. Open every day, from 6pm to 10pm, it has a DJ and live musical performances, from Thursday to Sunday.


One of Tivoli Carvoeiro's favorite spaces when it comes to gastronomy is The One restaurant, where chef Bruno Augusto and the sommelier Francisco Meira let their creativity run wild, and present a tasting menu with wine pairings. This year the restaurant has just been distinguished, for the third year, with the Award of Excellence from the prestigious American wine magazine, Wine Spectator, for its project to promote regional wines from the Algarve.

Foie Gras´s Terrine with Orange and Black Pepper Brioche; Coriander Risotto with Scallops and Lemon Caviar; Roosterfish with eggplant puree, madras curry and orange rice are the fish options for this summer menu, as beef tenderloin with vegetable jalousie and Zita pasta are a delighting for meat lovers. For a more complete experience, the chef suggests the tasting menu with a pairing of wines selected by the sommelier, where regional Algarve wines are the main stars. Those who practice veganism will also find a special tasting menu featuring the Quinoa and Avocado Salad with Bio Vegetables, Vegetable Stew and Edamame and the Eggplant with Ratatouille and Biryani. The vegan menu is also available with wine pairing. In addition to the tasting menus, The One has a menu with several options from oven-roasted turbot to dry-aged steak, including the original Land and Sea trilogy for two, with squid and fried moreia and their sauce, black pork tusk with apple verde, octopus carpaccio and strawberry gazpacho with feta cheese. Open every day from 7pm to 10pm.


On Sundays, the Azur Bar, with its balcony overlooking the sea, serves a complete brunch, between 12pm and 3pm, accompanied by live music. With an à la carte service, it is possible to make different combinations, from the most traditional, such as pancakes or bowls of granola and fruit, to the most original, such as oysters from the Ria Formosa, octopus fillets in tempura with tartar sauce or shrimp tiger. The right program for a relaxed Sunday with an amazing view over the sea, garden and cliffs that only Tivoli Carvoeiro can provide.


In addition to these restaurant, Tivoli Carvoeiro has two unique experiences available to guests and the general public throughout the summer: picnics on the cliff and the romantic Dining Delight.


Available daily, picnics are served in the stunning setting of the Belvedere garden for a relaxed and delicious experience, in a unique location. Shrimp patties, veal croquettes, vegetable samosas, poultry Pâté en Croûte and verrine salads welcome you to this journey of flavors in a stunning setting, with the main dish being cod with spinach and shrimp au gratin with corn bread. For dessert there is fruit salad, chocolate cake with strawberries, brigadeiros and a selection of regional pastries. To celebrate this special moment, the picnic basket also includes a bottle of Perrier-Jouet champagne. Price for two people: 250 euros.


Perfect for celebrating a unique moment for two, the Dining Delight experience offers a dinner at susnset surrounded by candlelights, in a magnificent and exclusive seaside setting, on top of the cliff and with an breathtaking view over the ocean. The Dining Delight offers a special tasting menu paired with Portuguese wines selected by the house sommelier. Fried Squid with Yogurt and Lime Sauce, Fried Moreia with Algarve Carrot Aioli, Black Pork Tusk with Green Apple, Balsamic and Parmesan, Octopus Carpaccio with Roasted Pepper Coulis and Strawberry Gazpacho with Feta Cheese are the starters of this gastronomic experience. Following, Coriander Risotto with Scallops and Lemon Caviar or the Salmon Cataplana with Ria Bivalves and Orange Rice from Silves or Rack of Lamb with rosemary sauce, vegetable ratatouille and bulgur taking center stage. The Dark Chocolate Dome with Cream and Hazelnut and Almond Ice Cream completes this gastronomic experience. Served daily between 7pm and 10pm. Price 230 euros per person.
