CHEF NACHO MANZANO
Born in La Salgar, Asturias, Nacho Manzano began his culinary journey in his family's restaurant, developing a deep connection with the flavors and traditions of his homeland. In 1993, together with his sisters Esther and Sandra Manzano, he transformed Casa Marcial, once a simple local eatery, into one of Spain's most acclaimed restaurants. The first recognition came in 1999 with the first Michelin star, followed by the second in 2009. In 2024, he achieved his third star, solidifying his status as an international reference. Over the years, Nacho and his family have expanded their ventures with Gloria in Oviedo and Gijón, the Narbasu Restaurant and Hotel (1 Green Michelin Star), the NM Restaurant (1 Michelin Star), and Manzano Catering.
Nacho Manzano's cuisine is a tribute to the land, with dishes that highlight local ingredients: his vision extends beyond the product to include a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach. Manzano actively collaborates with regional producers, enhancing the short supply chain and promoting the Asturias region. This dedication earned him the Green Star.
Chef Nacho Manzano now leads the culinary concepts at Tivoli Kopke, including the hotels main restaurants 1638 – Restaurant & Wine Bar by Nacho Manzano and Boa Vista Terrace by Nacho Manzano.
